

Evelyn Etta Marguerite Heath (82) was born to the late Virginia Louise Miller-Heath and John Lurell Heath on July 21,1940 in Quinby, Virginia located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Evelyn departed this life on November 2, 2022 in Frederick, Maryland, where God sent his angels to escort her to eternal rest. Evelyn grew up in Accomack County where she gave her life to Christ at the early age of seven and was baptized by her grandfather, the late Rev. William Jerome Miller at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Horntown, VA. Evelyn enjoyed reading at a young age and it was her favorite pastime. She enjoyed relaxing or vacationing by the water.
Evelyn was a straight “A” student and received her education from Mary N. Smith, located in Accomack County. During those days, she was a Pageant Queen and known as Miss Carnival. She loved beauty culture and fashion. She married her High School sweetheart Robert Giddens known lovingly as “Bell” to most. Together they had two daughters Rhonda Giddens-Hill (James) of Frederick, MD, and Debra Bell of Richmond, VA
She would often read poetry and books to her girls and their friends out loud expressing each character or emphasizing poetry or specific and notable quotes. In her twenties, Evelyn was a licensed beautician in West Philadelphia until she changed her career path.
She was employed at Exide Corporation in Philadelphia. She became a Travel Consultant for Liberty Travel and Model for LaMode Mannequins’. She modeled in many fashion shows to include print ads and magazine layouts. Evelyn has meant many friends that became her adopted family in Philadelphia and Virginia and has traveled the world. Her favorite places to travel were the islands, notably, Jamacia is where she found a true connection.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Heath and Virginia Heath; grandparents, John Heath, Sr., Marry Etta Heath (Midwife), William Jerome Miller, Jr. (Pastor), Marguerite Miller (Pastor), Mother in Love, Dorothy Doughty, aunts Gladys Holmes, Bernice Cannon, EllaMae Cannon, Phyllis Anderson. Uncles: Amos, Rev. John Avery Miller.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children Debbie and Rhonda, Son in Love James M. Hill, Jr., Grandchildren; Michael Broadnax, Shaun Hill (Jayce) and Alacesha Hill; Great Grand Children, Rhianna Bonnie-Renee, SkyLynn Angel, and Stormi Wynter, Sadie, Syanna, and Colten.
