Faith (Fay) Johnson died peacefully in her sleep on August 5, 2023 after a long illness. She grew up in Maryland and graduated from Southern High School. She attended Essex Community College and then The Baltimore City Hospitals Nursing School to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. This began her life of service to others. Her patients benefited from her radiant joy and contagious hope as much as from the medical treatments.
Every family member and friend can share stories of how Fay impacted their lives. She was there to celebrate the good times, and was there to help them through the difficult times.
After living in Florida for a time, she returned to Maryland until the end of her life. Even as her health declined, she still showed that indomitable sense of joy and hope. The nurses who cared for her said how she was always so kind.
Fay was a special angel here on earth and she will be remembered for all that she has done and all the joy she brought to the lives she touched.
