Georgina Lynn Harris

Georgina Lynn Harris, age 70, passed away on February 27, 2026. A lifelong Maryland resident, Georgina was born on February 3, 1956, to the late George Angus Smith and Freada Leona Smith (née Whaler).

Georgina was the beloved wife of the late Warren Edward Harris. She was a loving mother to Kelly Harris and her partner, Jessica Luca-Hartman. She was a cherished grandmother to Julia Atkinson, Gina Atkinson, and Lucas Hartman, who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her dear sister, Benita Bewley; she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Smith. Georgina is survived by several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.

Georgina enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching crime shows such as Law & Order: SVU and Murder, She Wrote. She had a fondness for comfort foods, especially cheesesteaks, grilled cheese sandwiches, and scrambled eggs. Her taste in music ranged from country to rock and roll. During the Christmas season, she delighted in baking cookies for family and friends.

In her younger years, Georgina and her husband enjoyed bowling together on a league, creating lasting memories. She loved online shopping, especially browsing Amazon and The Bradford Exchange, and she treasured the cruise she once took to the Bahamas, enjoying every minute of the experience. Georgina also enjoyed dining out and spending time with those she loved.

Georgina will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and the joy she found in everyday moments. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
