Irene Louise Cash

Irene Louise Cash, age 68 passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Irene was the Loving Wife of the late Billy Eugene Cash, Sr.; Beloved Mother to Nicky Cash, Billy Cash, Jr., Ronald Cash, Sr. (Ivanna), the late David Cash, Melissa Merryfield (Mark Sr.), Amy Cash, and Daughter-In-law, Missy; Dear Sister to Barbara Dobberstein and the late Melvin Nines; Cherished Grandma to 18 grandchildren, including the late John Parrish, Jr., and 22 Great-Grandchildren. Irene is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Irene was a truly devoted matriarch. She dedicated her life to family, opening her heart and home not only to her own children and grandchildren, but also to their friends. She was affectionately known as the neighborhood mom and grandma, always welcoming and caring for those as if they were her own.

Irene had a love for the beach, where she found peace and joy. She cherished family gatherings and was the keeper of many treasured traditions, especially around the holidays, when her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and her amazing cooking.

As the heart of the family, Irene’s strength, generosity, and nurturing spirit left a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave, the traditions she upheld, and the home she made for so many.

A visitation for Irene will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
