Irene "MeMe" Helen Day

Irene "MeMe" Helen Day, age 93, of Queen Anne, Maryland, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Irene "MeMe" was born April 24, 1928 in Accident, Maryland and the daughter of the late Lewis and Priscilla Beitzel. Beloved wife of the late Berlin "Jack" J. Day. Loving mother of Betty Jane Webster and her husband Jay, Walter Flock and the late Patricia Ann Day. Sister of the late Marie Ellis, Catherine Beitzel, John, Ernest, Bill, Joseph, Randell and Howard Beitzel. Grandmother of Megan Borga and her husband Nick and Tracy Hammen and her husband Brian, Walter, Jr. and Lucas Flock. Great Grandmother of Ashlie Wise and Brittani Hammen-Travers and Lulu and Lillian Flock. She is also survived by her great-great grandchildren; Brantley Andrews, Levi and Paisley Travers and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 ( exit 6 south off Rt. 100) on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 12:30 pm till the start of the Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 1:30 pm. Her Committal Service and Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her name to your favorite Veterans' Organization.
