Jay was an incredibly kind, thoughtful, loving man but could lock you up with one look of those blue eyes.  I have so much respect, admiration and love for him not only because he is the father of my dear friend Darrin but because he is the type of man that instantly becomes a father figure.  I loved seeing the look on his face when he showed me his Christmas wonderland in the basement of their house; full of pride and excitement.  His love for old cars was uncanny and the things he did with them simply amazed me! He is loved and will never leave our hearts and thoughts.  May he rest in peace.

I was 11 when my Dad passed away in 1979. Uncle Jay told me  he would walk me down the aisle when I got married. I never got married (by choice!) but I never forgot him telling me that- he was a kind man. I always enjoyed our visits over the years.

My condolences and deepest wishes are with you during this difficult time. I never had the opportunity to meet Jay, but by observing the way your family conducts themselves shows how truly great a man he was. May he be eternally cherished and celebrated.

Jay was a great man and a special neighbor!   He set the standard for yard maintenance on our street!   I tried hard to keep up with him and have my yard look like his.   He welcomed us into the neighborhood and was always available for advice.   We will always remember him fondly!

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I never had the pleasure to meet your dad but I can say that he had to have been one of the greats. To know a man that he raised in you and the character that you have gives me a sense of knowing that he was a great man and will always be remembered as such. To the entire Brown family, my deepest sympathy.  Jay will live on in all of our memories.  I would like to share my first memory of Jay.  It was shortly after Darrin and my niece, Carolyn, were engaged.  We were invited to the Brown home for a Christmas party.  Jay and his brothers performed some of their barbershop quartet numbers for us.  I was so taken with their incredible talent and especially Jay's wonderful voice.  I will always remember him that way.   But of course , as I got to know him over the years, I learned what a warm, kind person he was.  He has a special place in my heart.   My love to all, especially his devoted wife, Carol.
