On, January 3, 2021, Mary Vivian Tipton (nee Boswell), a life-long resident of Howard County, passed away at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Charles W. Tipton III; loving sons Wesley (Laura) Tipton, Keith (Susan) Tipton, and Troy Tipton; grandchildren Jamie Tipton, Taylor Tipton, Dylan (Haleigh) Tipton, Caroline Tipton, Mary Tipton and Rebecca Tipton; and great-granddaughter Scarlett Tipton. She was predeceased by her siblings Gerome Boswell, Lois Lorenz, Katherine Smith, and Joan Smith; and parents James M. and Etta G. Boswell.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 10:00am until the start of A Celebration of Life Service at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to be made in Viv’s name to Stella Maris.

With limitations made to funeral practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all guests are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing per current public health guidelines.
