Richard Lee Helmick

On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Richard Lee Helmick of Pasadena, MD, formerly of Severn, MD. Beloved husband of Cynthia "Cindy" M. Helmick.Loving father of Patricia L. Keyton and her husband Larry and Kimberly A. Helmick. Brother of Connie Helmick, Sharon Remmell, Beverly Severe and Calvin Helmick. Devoted grandfather of Brad and Brooke. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews.

Mr. Helmick was retired and former Director Climate Control System at Naval Sea Systems command, former Branch Head at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Caderock division; former Engineer at Crown Cork and Seal Company, former soldier US Army, former order filling at Montgomery Wards, former usher at New Horn Theater, studied Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at University of Maryland and attended Baltimore Polytech.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100 south) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 am.
