Eva Florence Chaney

In 1951, Eve married Wayne Krogstie. Although this marriage ended in divorce, Wayne and Eve remained very good friends until his death in 1983. In 1956, Eve married Harvey “Nick” Chaney. They remained married until 1969 but, as with Wayne, remained very good friends until Nick’s death in 2008. Through both of these marriages, Eve became the mother of six daughters.

Eve went on to work at various jobs to support her family which included being a “Pit Boss” at Harrah’s Casino in Reno, NV, a bookkeeper and as a customer sales representative for T.C.I., now Charter Cable. She retired in 1999.

She loved sewing, drawing in Charcoal, crossword puzzles and cribbage. Eve also loved the great deals to be had shopping the local yard sales. But truly, she loved her kids with every fiber of her being.

Eve is survived by her loving daughters Mona Krogstie, Diane Krogstie, Laura Chaney, Lynda (Michael Burtness) Chaney, Lisa (Kenneth) Holt and Elizabeth (David) Reynolds; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Dunham and granddaughter Raychel Rae Holt.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
