

Myrna Kaye (Cole) Whitney, 78, a retired cook and truck driver, of Kittitas, Washington, passed away on May 4, 2015, in Kittitas. Myrna grew up in the Yakima Valley. Myrna was a para educator for Head Start, then moved to Ellensburg and became a cook at the Husky and the Palace. Later in life she became a truck driver and enjoyed visiting many states.
After retirement, Myrna enjoyed picking blackberries, camping, traveling and visiting with her family, friends and grandchildren. Myrna was a wonderful baker. She will be greatly missed.
Myrna is survived by her husband, Bob Whitney; daughters, Ardith Campbell, Julie Beebe, Kathy Everett, and Tammie Gitchel; sons, Greg Redd and Allen Whitney; siblings, Jay, Max, Roy, Patrick, Dixie and Winnie; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at Steward and Williams Tribute Center.
