Robert "Bob" Moulton passed away on October 25, 2011. He was born September 14, 1922 in Conrad, Montana to Floyd and Mary (Thies) Moulton. His passion in life was working with heavy equipment and riding horses.
Bob was a great man. He was one of those people that never met a stranger. Bob was a veteran of WWII and he served in the Asiatic Pacific. Afterwards, he worked for Sinclair Oil working with heavy equipment. While working for Sinclair Oil, he had the opportunity of traveling to Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado. He also worked on the Titan Missiles.
In 1965, Bob and Mae (who passed away February 2001) moved to Bellevue, Washington. He worked for Bellevue Chevrolet for a brief time. In 1966 he and a friend started B & H Body Shop in Bellevue. He and his family ran it until 1972 when he turned it over to his son, Larry.
Bob and Mae moved to Cle Elum where he ran his excavating business for a brief spell before moving to Ellensburg. In the late 70's he and Mae moved to Sedona, Arizona where they bought Red Rock Rental Yard. He also started an excavating company which he ran along with the rental yard.
Bob and Mae returned to Ellensburg and bought some cattle and small acreage. Bob joined the Ellensburg Posse in 1984 and remained an active member up until his death. Bob enjoyed riding in the Ellensburg Parade as a Posse member. Bob was also a member of the American Legion. He truly enjoyed the cows and his horse Cochese. He loved helping his friend Lo Driver with his cattle. He and Lo also did team penning.
For many years, he helped Pat Jenkins with ranching and cattle. In December 2002, he and his wife, Virginia, established a home on the back side of Bar 14 Ranch.
One of Bob's joys in life was working for Sinclair Oil. Utah was the last place that he worked for Sinclair Oil. He loved the scenery in Monument Valley. Over the years, Bob enjoyed visiting Utah with his family. He particularly enjoyed visiting Kanab, Utah with his wife Virginia. One of his favorite places to visit in Kanab was Best Friends Animal Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Vernon and his sister Mary.
