Alice Beatrice Smith, lifelong resident of Gillette, was called to her eternal home May 18, 2021 at the age of 98. She was the youngest of 12 and last surviving child of Addison Lee and Bertha Armstrong. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Melvin Smith, and daughters Shirley Smith and Linda VanderKooi.
She is survived by her son Danny (Karen) Smith of Royston, GA and two daughters, Betty Stedman of Bradenton and Wynona Rife of Palmetto; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
Visitation will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 with service to begin at 11AM at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park. Burial will follow at Gillette Cemetery.
