Bernice Marie Messier

It is with the appreciation of a life well lived and gratitude for the many years of memories that the family of Bernice Messier announced her peaceful passing, on April 22, 2023, at the young age of 92, in Bradenton, Florida USA. We will always remember her smile that would light up a room. She was an unknown artist and only a few people have had the pleasure of seeing her work. She loved life which showed in her laughter, music, dancing, flower gardens, and paintings. She cared so deeply for the people around her sharing her love and kindness with all. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.

Born in Notre Dame NB on August 31, 1930, she was the daughter of Albert and Elise (Melanson) Cormier. Bernice will be missed by her sister Anita LeBlanc, Dieppe NB and her brother Emery (Vileta) Cormier, New Britain, CT., and her sister-in-law Gisele (Zoel) and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Bernice was predeceased by her husband Idola (Bob) Messier, seven brothers Eric, Gerard, Neri, Zoel, Eloi, August, Aquila, and one sister Lorraine LeBlanc.

Immense gratitude to the team of people from Bay Vue Nursing Home and Tidewell Hospice. Also to the multiple individuals who spent time with Bernice sharing laughter, walks, music, and dance.

A celebration of life memorial service for Bernice will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th St W, Bradenton, Florida 34205.
