Elsie Mae Seese was the only child of Ruby Hendrix and Loyd Seese. She was born on June 6, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, but her family moved to West Virginia during the Great Depression. Elsie worked for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles before she retired to Florida. The motto of the Fraternal Order of Eagles is “People Helping People” and Elsie stayed busy as a volunteer by packing meals for the hungry, raising money for people and pets, and helping cats to be adopted. Elsie loved to travel and observe wildlife, especially birds.
Elsie is survived by many cousins and even more long-time friends. She will be buried with her parents at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Shinnston, WV. In lieu of flowers Elsie asked that donations be made to the Humane Society of Manatee County Florida.
