Genevieve Tison Parrish passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 5:30am. Born in Lake Butler, FL, on August 15, 1924 she was a lifelong resident of Parrish and a lifelong member of Parrish First Baptist Church. She was married to Spencer O. Parrish, Jr. for 70 years during which time they travelled the world while he served his country as an Army officer.
She is survived by 4 children, Julian Parrish (Betty) of Denver, CO; Jim Parrish (Terri) of Parrish; Sally Kirchman (Mark) of Parrish; and Jill Cunningham of St. Petersburg; 8 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren. She has 3 surviving sisters - Hilda Holloway of Sun City; Barbara Jean Griffin and Jane Stophel, both of Blairsville, GA. and 2 deceased siblings – Sarah Amlong of Gillette and Lewis Tison of Bradenton.
She never gossiped, interfered, or complained. She was the most beautiful, kind, perfect Christian mother and will be missed every day.
