

Jennie V Peel, “April”, 81, of Bradenton passed away September 30, 2015. Born April 8, 1934 to AG and Flaura Mae Holder in Walnut Lake, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Janie Lee, brother Genys and great granddaughter Jazlyn.
Jennie was raised along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and throughout the south until settling in Sarasota where she worked the lunch counter at Woolworths. She later moved to Palmetto where she made a home and lived for over 40 yrs. Jennie loved the food service industry and found a career working at the “Crab Trap” restaurant for 34 years. She was a mainstay and a “great” server as proclaimed by many Manatee County residents and tourists. After retiring in 2005 she enjoyed life to the fullest traveling, spending time in Biloxi, MS. and with her family.
Jennie was known as “Mom” to many. She never turned anyone away and always gave someone a second chance to prove themselves.
She is survived by two sons G. Timothy Burns (Lisa) and Sean Peel (Kathy) of Bradenton; grandchildren Heather, Jessica, TJ, Aidan, Ashley, Savannah and Nicolas; great grandchildren
Jayden, Deja, Alani and Eric.
Visitation will be held at Groover Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave. E, Ellenton on Tuesday October 6th, 2015 at 11am with services to follow at 12pm.
