Lois Hawkins

Lois Aileen Willis Hawkins, 70, was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven, peacefully surrounded by loved one's on March 13, 2015. Lois was a life long residence of Terra Ceia, Florida. Retired from the School Board of Manatee County. Lois was preceded in death by her Father, Allison Willis; Mother, Ethel Boyette; Sister, Theresa Stovall; Brother, Norman Willis; and Brother, Allen Willis. She leaves behind her Husband, Michael Hawkins; two Children, MaLinda Kipp (Robert) and Paul C. Garcia III (Shannon); two Stepchildren, James Ironmonger (Mallory) and Patty Weir (Shaun); Grandchildren, Jourdan Kipp, Bryan Kipp, Paul Garcia IV, Michael Garcia and Cheyenne Ironmonger; Brother, Lamar Willis; and Sister, Becky Jeffries (Larry). Lois was a humble, caring and thoughtful person who left her loving family and her acts of kindness as her legacy. She always put the needs of others before her own and loved her family, most of all, and we felt it. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends during the holidays. She loved her dogs, they brought her great joy in life. God has welcomed the most kindest soul into heaven and she will be truly missed. Her final request was to have a casual viewing and funeral service that will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Highway Life Church, 3204 U.S. Highway 301 North, Ellenton, Florida. The viewing will be from 12:00pm-1:00pm with the funeral service promptly beginning at 1:00pm. Reception will immediately follow the funeral service at the Terra Ceia VIA, 1505 Center Road, Terra Ceia, FL. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park.
