Nancy M. Minton, 86, of Ellenton FL passed away on January 24, 2015. Nancy was a native of Erie, PA and was married to James Minton of Erie, PA. She had moved to Sarasota Florida in 1975 with her husband James and daughter Karen. Nancy had work for the Sarasota School district as a secretary for over twenty years and had enjoyed her career. Nancy and husband Jim moved to Parrish FL Before retirement age and her husband James Minton passed in 2004. Nancy was remarried to James Himes of Erie, PA a lifelong friend of hers and her first husband James in 2007. Nancy was a devoted and loving wife and mother to Robert, William, Michael, Patrick and Karen. She leaves 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Groover Funeral Home in Ellenton, Thursday at 2pm with a funeral service to follow at 3:30pm.
