Roma Marie Rogers

Roma Marie Rogers, age 71, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born, March 6, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee. Roma was a graduate of University of Memphis Nursing School. She had several hobbies which included, golfing tennis and enjoying gourmet cooking. Roma’s true passion was her family. Being a wife, mother and grandmother gave her great joy in life. She loved watching old classic movies such as Gone with the Wind and Splendor in the Grass. Romas loved watching SEC Football and also golf.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Roma Chandler.

Roma is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Rogers; sons and daughter inlaws, Phillip Rogers JR. and Chris Gaiennie Rogers of Memphis, Tennessee, Aubrey Rogers and Jessica Rogers; grandchildren, Ella James Rogers and Milan Audrey Rogers; sisters, Linda Phillips of Fairhope, Alabama, Lynn Smith of San Destin Florida and Marie Marchese of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; and half brother, Walter J. Chandler Jr. of Steven City, Virginia.

A visitation for Roma will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222. A funeral service will occur Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Cemetery arrangements are currently pending at this time.
