Susan Marie Owen

Susan Marie Owen 84, of Palmetto, FL passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. Born April 9, 1941, in Rochester, New York to John and Adelaide Owen. Susan was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Susan, being a servant at heart, spent 25 years working for the State of Florida assisting those in need at the Department of Children and Families. She touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion and sage advice. Susan enjoyed reading, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family. As a devoted Baha'i, she enjoyed providing service to her community and her Baha'i locality, as the sunshine representative.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Michele Hulbert, sons, Daniel and Christopher Hulbert, her granddaughters, Kristen Hulbert and Morgan Kneifel, grandson Tyler Fitzcharles, great granddaughters Kelsea and Kaelynn Turner, sisters Anne (Lucien) Trudeau, Elizabeth Smith and Clair Owen (David Plante), nieces Susan Cady, Marcia Trudeau and nephew Lucien Randazazzee. Predeceased by her mother, father and sisters Marcia Owen and Teresa Owen.

A private interment was held on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

A celebration of life will be held at Camp Creek Club House, 11645 Camp Creek Trail, Parrish, Fl 34219 on April 12, 2026, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Arbor Day Foundation | Tree Planting Non-Profit.
