Anna Mae Day

Anna M. (Tremblay), of Encinitas, passed away on June 18th at age 95. Wife of the late John P. Day, Sr. Loving mother of John P. Day, Jr and his wife Renee of Sacramento, CA, Wilfrid J. Day and his wife Toni of Pomona, NY, Kevin Day and his wife Maria Lourdes of Springfield, VA, and late son Terence J. Day. Preceded in death by her devoted sister Lillian G. Crane of Randolph, MA and Theresa B. Tremblay her infant sister. Also, survived by Patti Day of Las Vegas, NV and Sharon Sarvent of Tomkins Cove, NY, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church at 625 S. Nardo, Solana Beach, CA 92075 at 11am on July 5th. Burial will take place at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY. Anna grew up in Somerville, MA and was long-time resident of Encinitas, CA. She was member of the Secular Franciscan Order since the 1940’s and most recently active in the San Luis Rey Secular Franciscan fraternity, Oceanside, CA. She was active in civic and parish life and received the highest female award given by the Boy Scouts of America the “Silver Fawn”. She worked for the New York Telephone Co. and was a AT&T retiree.
