Douglas Murray Ball, a dedicated family man and proud military veteran, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of simplicity, quiet strength, and infectious laughter.
Doug was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert Ball and Vera Ball.
He is survived by his devoted children, Leslie Ball, Consuelo Ball, and Maricel Spycher, who will forever cherish his memory. Doug also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, his sister Christine Eilers, and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Doug was fiercely proud of his more than a decade of service to the United States military. He dedicated four years in the Air Force, where he honed his technical skill working on fighter jets, followed by seven years in the Navy.
A dedicated and simple man, Doug found happiness in the small joys of life. He required little to feel content, often finding hours of quiet engagement and satisfaction in his meticulous stamp and coin collections. Those who knew him best will never forget his truly amazing laugh—an original and unmistakable sound that was a pure indicator of his presence and joy.
Doug will be deeply missed by his family and all who were touched by his kind heart and unique spirit.
