

Frank James King was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 17, 1930 to Lyle and Frank T. King and passed away September 2, 2015 at the age of 85. Frank earned his Bachelors Degree from St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI and completed a year of Law School at Georgetown University, WDC before entering the US Army as an officer. He married his beautiful wife, Ruth in 1955 and upon discharge from the service, he partnered with his father in a Cadillac Dealership in Milwaukee. He became sole owner of the dealership after the retirement of his father. Frank was a car man at heart and never lost his interest of the automotive industry by keeping current with all its new developments . Frank's involvement in his local community was through Rotary International, and he served as President of the Brookfield Rotary Club, was a Paul Harris Fellow and remained a proud member of Rotary for over 40 years. Throughout his years of service in Rotary, he worked on the local Youth Exchange Committee which gave out scholarships for students. He also served on the Board of D i rectors of First National Bank of Wauwatosa. He retired in1981 and moved with his family to Naples, Florida to be able to enjoy his love of boating and golf year round. He spent time planning new travel adventures with his wife and family, as well as investing in the local real estate market. Frank and Ruth moved to the San Diego area in 1995 and continued to spend many good years with his family, his church, and the beautiful weather. Frank and Ruth celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Frank is survived by his wife Ruth; 5 children: Cathy (Tom) Lipscomb, San Jose, CA; Mike King, Naples, FL; Pat King, San Diego, CA; Peggy (Gary) White, Atlanta, GA; Nancy (Chris) Schofield, San Marcos, CA, and 8 grandchildren: Anna Lipscomb, Pearse Lipscomb, Emma White, Connor White, Ashley White, Sarah Schofield, Noah Schofield and Owen Schofield. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist, Encinitas, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Father Joe's Village (my.neighbor.org).
