Thomas Joseph Regan

Thomas Joseph Regan, 85, living in Encinitas California, passed away on March 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at El Camino Mortuary, 340 Melrose Ave., Encinitas California 92024. Tom will be wearing his usual shorts and flowered shirt, so casual attire is preferred. Military Burial with honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. on March 29, 2016, at Miramar National Cemetery, 5759 Nobel Drive San Diego, California 92122. Thomas was born June 5, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the only child of Thomas and Florence (Long) Regan. Thomas graduated from Woodruff High School in 1948 and went on to receive his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Bradley University. Upon graduation, Thomas served in the Army for several years. He then worked for Caterpillar and eventually became involved in real estate, where he established his own successful business. Thomas retired by 1984 in Encinitas California. Thomas enjoyed cooking, hunting, reading, traveling and his toys. He always had a grin on his face and a sparkle in his blue eyes. He loved a great conversation and anything that challenged him. His advice was always sought after and highly respected. Thomas was a loyal friend and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Regan, children, Thomas Patrick Regan of Encinitas, CA; Holly (Regan) and Francisco Bulnes of Scottsdale, AZ; Sean Regan of San Marcos, CA; Mike and Valissa (Tsoucaris) Meyer of Denver, CO; John and Sherrie (Mills) Meyer of Denver, CO; Richard and Robyn (Meyer) Taylor of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Shealina Fanelli of Scottsdale, AZ; Baily Whorl of Scottsdale, AZ; Tanner Whorl of Scottsdale, AZ; Darren and Brenda Meyer of Denver, CO; Sgt. Calea Meyer serving in Augusta, GA; Brooke Meyer of San Francisco, CA; Brittany Taylor of Denver, CO; Kyle Taylor of Fort Collins, CO; Hannah Meyer of San Diego, CA; and Logan Meyer of Denver, CO.
