Gwendolyn Dorothy Pieper

PIEPER, Gwendolyn (Sue), of Roanoke, VA, joined many of her family, in the presence of the Lord, on Sunday, December 4, 2011. She and her husband Charles Monroe, who predeceased her, have been residents of Ohio, Florida, Floyd County and most recently, Roanoke County, VA. They were the anchor of the family of four children, Joyce Stevens and husband John now living in Christiansburg, Jim Pieper and wife Sharon in Jacksonville, Florida, Christy Wente in Roanoke, and Fred Pieper who predeceased his parents. Gigi will also be lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and by her special care-giver and many friends. Gwendolyn is adoringly described as “a true lady of grace with a song in her heart.” She has touched many lives and has been a beautiful role model for those who follow in her footsteps. Graveside services will be Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Ehrstein Cemetery on Salem Bend Road, Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to the Tobias Funeral Home Englewood Chapel, 675 West Wenger Road.
