

BLAKE, Roger Lewis 51 of Englewood, formerly of Dayton, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, October 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (nee Talbott) Blake. Roger is survived by his father Robert E. Blake of Dayton, four daughters and one son-in-law Terri and Derrick Pitts of Dayton, Giovanni Rakestraw of TX, Krucita Thomas, Tiffany Blake, his former wife of 26 years, Linda Blake all of Dayton, four sisters and one brother-in-law Theresa Blake of Dayton, Deboria and Keith Harrison of Trotwood, Gwendolyn Blake of Dayton, Cynthia Blake of Trotwood, two brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Karen Blake, Ronald and Barbara Ann Blake all of Trotwood, 6 grandchildren, special friend Roxane Mackey of Columbus, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a Paralegal at the Gibson Law Offices in Vandalia, a 1978 graduate of Jefferson Senior High School, was an Ordained Pastor – Evangelist, a member of Gospel Truth Church in Gallipolis, Ohio, and an avid community activist. Roger’s family will receive friends at the Berean Missionary Church, 5900 Basore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45415, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 starting at 11:00 AM, followed by Celebration of his life at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ted Milbry presiding, burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. His family would like to extend a thank you to the ICU Staff and Physicians at Good Samaritan Hospital, Fred and the staff at Tobias Funeral Home for their care and compassion.
