Donna Marlene Kovner

Donna’s love of her family, friends, and animals knew no bounds. While the last

few years were challenging for all, Donna made an effort to focus on the positives.

Not one to stay in one place, Donna’s adventures took her from her home state of Michigan

to California where she met her husband Vic Kovner, MD, who she married

in l977. They welcomed their son in l978. Vic and Donna moved to Saratoga Estates in

Bonsall after Vic sold his medical practice in the San Fernando Valley. They were

together for nearly 35 years when Vic unexpectedly passed away in 2011.

Whether it was volunteering for charity and service organizations, entertaining friends,

or celebrating with family, Donna made sure those around her were taken care of. She

enjoyed playing backgammon, painting porcelain figurines and going on trail rides.

Donna’s dogs and horses brought her great joy and comfort.

She is survived by her son Victor L. Kovner III, stepdaughters Lisa and Nina as well as

her sister and brother-in-law Janice & Gary Weems, her nephew Dale Weems & wife Sheri,

nieces Rayna & Kyla and nephew Sebastian.
