George Shinsuke Higuchi passed away at his home in San Diego on Thursday, February 4, 2010. He was 74 years old. George was born on January 23, 1936 in Honolulu, HI. He was one of eight children born to Kazuo Higuchi and Katherine Natsue Nakahara. He graduated from Waipahu High School in June 1954. He moved to California from Hawaii in 1959 at attended Woodbury College. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration on May 18, 1962.Mr. Higuchi worked as a CPA for most of his life. He retired in 1995 and spent most of his free time on the golf course. He also enjoyed traveling, exercise, and running. He was an active member of AA for over 35 years. George enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955 and received an honorable discharge in June 1963.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Colleen Joyce Higuchi; Son Gilbert Higuchi; Daughter Nicole Hunting and Grandchildren Cayden, Chase and McKenna Hunting.McLeod Mortuary in Escondido, California is handling arrangements.
