Greg’s final resting place will be the Oelwein, Woodlawn cemetery in the Knapp family plot.
Greg was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Army and Reserves from 3.11.1971 to 3.10.1977.
Throughout Greg’s lifetime, he was in service to others. He was a kind, compassionate, generous man with a giving nature. His love of music, games, and sports, whether playing, watching or collecting memorabilia, brought him great joy. Greg received his BA from UNI and his MA from NMSU. He taught math, and was a guidance counselor and coach at schools in Iowa, MO, and KS, serving the longest at Central Middle School, Kansas City, KS. He made his home in Merriam, KS. Greg was a wonderful uncle to his many, many nieces & nephews. He was a dear brother & friend. Our family and Greg’s friends will miss this lovable guy and always have fond memories of him.
