Girl, you finally got your "wish" - to be "together again" with Lloyd.

I will truly miss Judy as a dear friend & mentor for over 45 yrs.  We had a special bond in our shared birthday on Feb 3rd & sure had some good times together - including last month when we celebrated our B-day mid Feb outside on a beautiful sunny day.

We liked to visit & share memories of the good times & tough times we'd had over the years - the celebrations (birthdays, holidays, etc., including the births of our grand kids & great-grands) and the challenges (kids, illness, age).  

Judy & I even enjoyed chatting away together about our typical days just sitting on the front porch or on patio at the end of a beautiful day or sunset.  

Lloyd & Judy had lived in the same Donald Way home as their parents for many years.  We were lucky to have met them in Oct 1978, when Jim & I moved into our home across the street.  Since then,  we'd get together for numerous outings - desert camping & riding motorcycles; going to San Felipe & staying at their Baja home to party the weekend away & play along the shore; or having them join us in Oceanside Harbor to go sailing, especially for Christmas boat parade of lights.  I recall a concert we really enjoyed - Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton - during the time Lloyd looked similar to Kenny & Judy said - "she loved Lloyd's sexy look". 

Judy had a great sense of humor & loved funny cards,  emails & internet - right up to our last visit.  During this visit, she handed me a couple pages titled:  "Old is When" & "Lovemaking for Seniors"  - enough said :)

Lloyd & Judy celebrated their 50th anniversary several years ago - it was one of the last celebrations I recall them having family & friends all together at their home.

Over the years, I learned a lot from my friend & mentor - I'm thankful for having had Judy in my life for so long a time.

My deepest condolences. Judy was like my second mom growing up. My best example was the day I got stuck in my dress after school (I was 7, zippers were hard) and nobody was home. I walked up the street looking out of the armhole. When Judy came to the door, she started laughing so hard she could barely help me,  but we finally got me out and we were both giggling by then. She had such a great sense of humor and lots of strength and wisdom. It is a loss to the world that she is now over with Lloyd, but I'm glad she's with him and not hurting any more.
