Peggy Jean Agee Warwick passed away May 13, 2024 in Escondido. She had resided in Escondido since 1961. She was born January 24, 1928 in Nocona, Texas, the child of John Dane (JD) and Minnie Viola (Goldsmith) Agee. She cherished her childhood growing up on the family cattle ranch and the close association that she had with her family. Many memorable and wonderful experiences were shared by her regarding her childhood over the years. Upon graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from North Texas State College (now North Texas State University). Before graduating, she worked in Hamlin, Texas which is where she met her husband, Robert (Bill) W Warwick. They were married in Clovis, New Mexico on February 11, 1950. They were married for 58 years before Bill’s death in 2008. These years were wonderful with focus on their family and activities that they mutually enjoyed including square dancing, traveling, and the San Diego Padres. Peggy was devoted to her family and delighted in being with them and caring for them. She also enjoyed sewing and became an expert seamstress. In her retirement she attended many classes to help master these skills. After all of her children were in school, she began a career with the Automobile Club of Southern California in the Escondido and Rancho Bernardo District Offices. She liked the challenges associated with this employment but especially enjoyed the long and lasting friendships which she formed there with many co-workers.
Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Gene and her husband Bill. She is survived by her sister, Willie Belle Cable of Nocona, Texas, and her children Robert (Bob) and Brenda Warwick of Escondido, David and Shelley Warwick of St George Utah and Laura Warwick of Escondido.
