
Born March 13, 1931 Passed Away October 10, 2011. A long time resident of Eureka, California and Yurok Tribal Member passed on at the age of 80.
Robert was born to George and Irene (Ferris) Quinn at their home in Eureka, CA in 1931. In 1944 he was sent to Sherman Indian School in Riverside, CA. Upon his return to the North Coast in 1948, he met his true one true love, Jenevieve Smith from Westhaven and they were married for 58 years.
Bob learned to drive a logging truck at the age of 18. His CB handle was "Big Bumper Bob". Over the years he drove truck for Joe Costa, Nunnemakers, Sierra Pacific, Louisanna Pacific, and Customer Trucking. During the early years he worked at Dolly Varden and the Barrel Company. Robert was a hard worker, never missing a day of work in over 65 years of employment and never accepting any sort of welfare or unemployment even when times were hard.
Robert loved to fish and hunt, his favorite fishing hole was Lewiston Lake and his favorite hunting grounds was at Modoc where the family hunted for years. Bob was well known at various restaurants in Eureka especially Stantons where he was lovingly called SOB (Sweet Old Bob). His favorite two waitresses were Megan and Tasha.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jenevieve, brothers Glenn and George Jr. "Chub", sisters Grace Luster, Eleanor McReynolds, Marge Thomas, Edith Kelly.
He is survived by his children, Danny Quinn of Happy Camp, CA, Alan Quinn of McCloud, CA, Susan Quinn of Eureka, and Janie Stacy of Greensboro, AL, as well as numerous grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

A Potluck will be held at his niece, Linda Roberts, cabin in Trinidad on Sunday, October 16th at noon. Take the Trinidad exit and turn right. The address is 264 North Westhaven Drive. Everyone is welcome to attend.
