

She was the owner and president of a minority owned business, McKinney’s Heating & Air, and also worked in the office for a local optometrist. Alberta was an avid pickleball player and played at many local churches and the YMCA. She earned the Double Gold with the Indiana State Senior Games; she earned the most points and the won the most games. She also enjoyed gardening, playing golf and tennis. Alberta and her husband were world travelers. In 2018 they took a two month cross country road trip from Florida to California.
Alberta is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dan McKinney; daughters, Amy Mills (Charles) and Libby McKinney; siblings, Sharon Kincaid (Larry), Helen Johnston, Barb Frede, and Arvil Kleitz (Tana); as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Deaconess Midtown and Linda E. White Hospice House for their wonderful care.
