

Mrs. Grubbs graduated from Reitz High School in 1943. She worked for Crysler, Shane Uniform Company, and, for 25 years prior to her retirement, as a secretary at the Deitsch Insurance Agency and Permanent Federal. She was married in 1943 to James Paul Grubbs, who after over 53 years of marriage preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Grubbs enjoyed cooking, sewing, and needle crafts and was a life-long sports enthusiast.
She is survived by one son, Mark (Mary) of Oshkosh, WI; and one daughter, Paula (John) Warner of Indianapolis and seven Grandchildren; Paul (Michelle) Grubbs, Peter (Jill) Grubbs, Mary (Greg) Bresnehan, Johanna (Chris) Yenter, Elisabeth (Richard) Stockton, Philip Grubbs and Lucas Grubbs. She is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren; Walter, Dorothea, Eden, Noah, Samuel, Mathew, Oliver, Jorja, Mark, Wyatt and Aurora, as well as several cousins and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and by her parents, Henry and Norma Tiemann.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Marquette, Cheryl Mills and Donna Pipkin for their loving kindness.
A visitation will be held at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street, on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, March 26, 2012 at the funeral home, with Rev. Martin Noland of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating, with burial at Tupman Cemetery following the service.
