Allie “Peggy” Pruitt Skeels, 94, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Good Samaritan Home. She was born January 26, 1921, in Sebree, KY to the late John and Stella (Eastwood) Cummings.
She was a member of Calvary Temple for 20 years and was a current member of Bethel Church and the Bible Fellowship. She loved bowling and bowled all the way up to the age of 92. She also loved spending time with her family, enjoyed walking, no matter the weather, and was a people person.
Peggy was preceded in death by her first husband, James Pruitt; second husband, Luther Skeels; daughter, Linda Born; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Poole; grandchildren, Angela (Alan) Born Gauger, Jamie Poole, and Stacey (Janine) Poole; great-grandchildren, Ben, Cara, Austin, Hailey, and Aaron; and sisters, Ella Haddon and Ida Ray.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, with entombment in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
