Angela "Ange" L. (Courtney) Kemmis

Angela “Ange” Lynn Kemmis, 54, of Evansville passed away surrounded by love on Thursday, August 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 19, 1970 in Evansville to Roger Courtney and Phyllis (Luttrull) Pottinger.

She was a loving and devoted mother, Taylor was her heart, hope, and world. Ange’s granddaughter, Hadley Jane, was her driving force to keep going. Ange was a loving and devoted wife. They enjoyed the simple joys of life, spending time at home crafting, playing cards, and cherishing every moment together. She also enjoyed softball, 4-wheeling, nature including geocaching, and animals. She loved her four dogs and four cats, especially Tazz. Fall was her favorite time of year and she loved sunflowers. In her younger years, she was a volunteer firefighter for Scott Township. Family was most important to her of all and Ange loved having family get togethers. She adored her nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ange was preceded in death by her grandparents; William and Helen Luttrull, and Lawrence and Erma Jean Courtney.

She is survived by her loving wife of nine years, Melissa Kemmis; daughter, Taylor Courtney (Jacob Patterson); granddaughter, Hadley Jane Patterson; parents, Phyllis Pottinger (Noel) and Roger Courtney; sister, Pam Stogsdill; step-brothers, Oral, Warren and Mark Pottinger; beloved nieces and nephews, Cody Courtney (Shyanne), Kyle Henry, Lexi Henry (Nathan Hensley), Ava Stogsdill, Rylin Stogsdill, and Jaxyn Stogsdill; great niece, Willow; and great nephews, Oliver and Dexter.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday August 27, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Larry Koch. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
