

Anita Margaret (Lottes) Schaaf, 98, left this earthly life on Saturday, October 1, 2011. She was born on November 20, 1912 in Fulda, IN to William Lottes and Margaret (Dersch) Lottes. She and her husband, Eugene E. Schaaf celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death in 2001. Anita and Gene were long-time members of St. Lucas UCC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister, Esther L. Koch,
brothers, Emil Lottes, Paul Lottes, Carl Lottes, and Alfred Lottes.
She is survived by nephews and nieces, Gene and Judy Koch, Evansville, Robert and Linda Lottes, Dubuque, IA, Paula and Jim Underhill, N. Ft. Myers, FL, Donald and Roberta Lottes, Elgin, IL, Judy and Ralph Davis, Rockport, IN, Alfred, Jr. and Connie Lottes, Long Beach, CA, Shirley and Zeke LaGrange, Tell City, IN, and Gloria Cahill, Naples, FL, numerous great-nephews and nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces and great-great-great nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the entire staffs of the Good Samaritan Home and Deaconess Hospice for the compassionate and loving care given to Anita while she was in their care.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, officiated by Rev. Mary Hurley. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time with private burial at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Lucas United Church of Christ, Deaconess Hospice, or The Good Samaritan Home.
