In the early 1940’s, Ann worked for Republic Aviation-Servel in Evansville when the factory manufactured P47 Thunderbolts for use in World War II. She was a riveter helping to assemble wings for the fighter jets. Ann married Adam Earl Stephens. Together they followed Adam’s Job opportunities and lived in Louisville, New Orleans, Atlanta and Memphis before Ann returned to Evansville in 1964.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Adam Earl Stephens; sisters, Frances Jane (Voyles) Gore, Dorothy Marie (Voyles) Slaton and her parents.
She is survived by her niece; Mary Jane Slaton and cousin; Carol (Stephens) Shucker.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Alexander East Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
