

He worked in residential building and masonry his entire life. He served in the Army from 1970-1976, stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. Art loved fishing, playing his piano, playing clabber, doing puzzles, dancing, Nascar racing and shooting the breeze. He was a born again Christian and loved to read his bible. He never met a stranger, and was a fun loving man who loved to be around people. He was especially proud of his children and what good, hardworking people they are. His grandchildren were a special joy to him, as he was able to spend more time with them in his retirement. Art leaves behind many business associates and some of the closest and best friends anyone could ask for.
Art was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Glaser; step-father, Edwin Goebel; step-brother, Gary Goebel; sister, Carolyn Glaser; brother, Bill Glaser, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Wanda Schlageter.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie (Schlageter) Glaser; daughter, Shannon (Stu) Seibert; son, Wayne Glaser; grandsons, Justin Flint and Zach Seibert; granddaughters, Molly Seibert and Jessica Glaser; great-granddaughter, Makayla Flint; mother, Dolores, (Koch) Goebel of Wadesville; sisters, Alma (Tony) Scheller of Evansville, Alfreida (Kenny) Brown of Tennyson, Mary (Harold) Graff of Wadesville, Rosalee Corn of Phoenix, Diane (Paul) Sellers of Stonefort, IL, and Jane (Tom) Seibert of Evansville; brother, Ralph (Lana) Glaser of Wadesville; step-brother, Earl Goebel of Evansville; step-sister, Vicki Bradshaw of Evansville; step-sister-in-law, Teri Goebel and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Art’s life will be 10:00AM, Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive. Friends may visit 2:00PM to 8:00PM, Friday, July 22, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, and Saturday 8:30AM to service time at the cemetery.
