She worked as a housewife for over 30 years and served as PTA President at Harper Elementary School. Bettye also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and Sunday School Teacher at New Life General Baptist Church.
Bettye was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Hugh Wittenbraker; and brother, Bill Day.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Milling; children, Kirk (Lynn) Milling, Connie Wittenbraker and Keith (Kim) Milling; brother, Wyndall (Judy) Day; grandchildren, Scott (Amanda), Sandy, Kaleigh and Patrick Milling; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jeff Harford, with private burial in Corydon, KY. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
