Bill Ray Osborne

Bill Ray Osborne, 86, of Evansville, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on January 11, 1940, in Gentryville, IN to the late Cecil and Ida (Bass) Osborne.

Bill worked at Alcoa for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching old westerns and comedies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ida Osborne; wife of 52 years, Madonna Sue Osborne (in 2014); infant sons, Jeffrey Scott and Brian Keith; brothers, Cecil Osborne Jr., and John Robert; and sisters, Eleanor Crowe and Thelma LaGrange.

Bill is survived by his son, Steven R. Osborne; daughter, Kelly Osborne-Byrd (Jeff); granddaughter, Arin McManaway (Jarrett); grandson, Derreck Fraser (Yasmeene); great grandchildren, Gabriela Fraser, Jude McManaway, Jace McManaway and Jensen McManaway; brother, Russell Osborne (Pat); brother-in-law, Bill Dowdell; and beloved yorkie, Suzi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a family remembrance time held at 5:30 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714.
