

Carmen Dalton, 76, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Walnut Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. She was born November 16, 1940, in Spencer County, IN, to the late Russell and Emma (Jessie) Ricker.
She was a 1959 graduate of Bosse High School and owner of Bill Caldwell’s Employment Service for 35 years. She also worked in real estate as a rental property owner.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnny Ricker; sister-in-law, Clara Ricker; and first husband, Bill Caldwell.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Dalton; sister, Lena Cieslack; brother, Curtis (Rita) Ricker; nieces, nephews, cousins; and stepchildren, Kay Lynn Mahoney, William B. (Bo) Caldwell, Vicki C. Dalton, and Ben (Melanie) Dalton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Avenue, officiated by Dr. Larry T. Lewis, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
