Charles “Chuck” Edward Hedges, 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. Chuck was born in Evansville to the late William Edward Hedges Sr. and Alice (Elpers) Hedges Stephan.
Chuck graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1966. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Chuck also graduated IUPUI Indianapolis with a nursing degree. He worked at Wishard Memorial Hospital Indianapolis, in the emergency room. Upon moving to Winterpark, Florida, he worked at the V.A. Hospital. In 2001, he retired from nursing and moved back to Evansville.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and step father, Wayne C. Stephan.
Chuck is survived by his brother, William (Bill) E. Hedges Jr.; half-sister, Ruth Ann Adams (Jimmy); aunts, Doris Head, Barbara Wallace, and Barbara Elpers; uncle, John Elpers; and many cousins.
No services will be held. Interment will be at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
