Christian Soell

Christian Soell, 79, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and Vietnam as both a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne and an interpreter, speaking 7 different languages. He was a supervisor at Alcoa where he was employed for nearly 30 years, in charge of installation of “64” Sliter. Chris loved to cook, fish, hunt morels, making wine, gardening, and Reitz football and wrestling. He loved his country, his animals, and most of all his family. Christian is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Soell; daughter, Debbie Woodall; son, Steve Soell (Teresa); grandson, Derek Woodall; great grandchildren, Karson and Essence. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
