

He coached his son’s soccer, basketball, and baseball teams and was a hard worker, working as an auto body technician. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a big heart. Chris enjoyed racing 4-wheelers with his kids, fishing, and grilling out. He loved muscle cars, speed, was an avid mustang lover, owning a restored mustang. Chris enjoyed all genres of music, but rock-n-roll was his favorite. He also enjoyed aquariums and always had fish.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Clarence “C.J.” J. Widmer; and niece and goddaughter, Megan Young.
He is survived by his children, Justin and Felicia Widmer; mother, Toy Widmer; sister, Tanya (Chris) Young; grandson, Treyson Spoon; niece, Morgan Young; dog, Tazz; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 AM Thursday, March 31, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 618 East Virginia Street, officiated by Fr. Ted Temple, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
