

Clinton “Clint” J. Koring, 86, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at West River Health Campus. He was born October 24, 1928, in Evansville, to the late Frederick and Leona (Powers) Koring.
He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and retired from Cargill (Nutrena Feeds) as a Territory Manager after 33 years. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ on West Michigan Street. He enjoyed farming the family farm and gardening and was an avid IU Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Fred C. Koring; and sister, Juanita (Ray) Grossman.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Myrna (Miller) Koring; daughters, Karla Koring (Jan) and Diane (Larry) Brashear; grandchildren, Jeffrey Cook and Cory (Kayla) Brashear; great-grandchildren, Payten and Paige Brashear; sister, Charlotte (Dick) Cox of Rock Hill, SC; brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Monday, January 26, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
