Connie Hansert

She was a 1971 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and 1974 graduate of Deaconess School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 38 years in pediatrics with Welborn and St. Mary’s Hospitals. She loved music, gardening, nature and the Indianapolis Colts.

Connie’s true passion in life was caring for children and her commitment and love for our Lord, Jesus Christ, was evident everyday of her life. She attended Memorial Baptist Church.

Connie is survived by her husband of 32 years, George Hansert; parents, Billy & Barbara Lockhart; sisters, Judy Lockhart, Marianne Hunter (John); dogs, Mollie & Lance; and Father-in-law, Ray Hansert (Doris).

The family would like to thank her friends and co-workers at St. Mary’s; the staff with Vista Care Hospice; as well as Dr. Anthony Stevens and his staff at OHA.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ferd Elfreich with burial in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, February 5, 2012, from noon until 4:00PM and Monday, from noon until service time at the funeral home.
