There was nothing Cornelius couldn’t fix, and he was still tinkering at the time of his passing. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Cornelius enjoyed getting together with his old co-workers monthly for breakfast, fishing, hunting, and working puzzles. After retiring from Advance Trucking as a semi driver, he assisted a neighbor with a a lawn mower repair service. He was a very talented mechanic and was always one to lend a hand to others. Cornelius had a wonderful sense of humor and had a repertoire of one liners.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis Meyer; and son, Tim Meyer.
Cornelius is survived by his daughters, Tina Whitlow (Bert), Julie Shadley, and Debbie Babik (David); grandchildren, Jesse Shadley, Tyler Shadley, Travis Shadley, Sabrina (Babik) Tracey, Alex Babik, Katie Whitlow, and Sarah Meyer; and great grandchildren, Mallory Shadley, Kelly Shadley, Jessica Shadley, and Abraham Cornelius Shadley.
