Curtis Whitson Williams, 100, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Wyndmoor of Evansville Assisted Living surrounded by his family. He was born December 14, 1921, in Webster County, Kentucky to the late Fred Kendall and Bertha Goin (Tompkins) Williams.
Curtis was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved God and was a member of Boeke Road Baptist Church. He helped out at Vacation Bible School and taught Sunday School at several area churches. He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corp, serving in WWII as a Corporal and pistol marksman. He retired in 1988 from Arkla and Preway after 31 years of service. Curtis enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, listening to gospel music, and volunteering to help feed the needy through his church. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Beatrice Williams, parents, brothers and sisters, granddaughter, Shannon Renee Reinbrecht; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Williams.
Curtis is survived by his daughters, Kathy Reinbrecht (John) and Tammy Kiesel (Mark); sons, Steve Williams (Laima) and Fred Williams (Lisa); grandchildren, Erin Baehl (Nathan), Stephanie Rice (Kris), Jerrod Williams (Crystal), Brandon Williams, Todd Williams (Sherie) and Laura Williams; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, John Cates.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Stephen Russ, with private family burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Slaughters, Kentucky. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home where a military service will be performed.
