Danny was born April 1, 1948 in Evansville Indiana. As a young man, he ran track and field at North High School and graduated in 1966. He married his high school sweetheart Debbie Hart and had two daughters. He worked for Whirlpool as a tool and die maker for over 30 years until his retirement. In 1978, he built his beautiful home with his own two hands on Kings Hill Drive where he resided for the rest of his living years. He had a third daughter with his second marriage to Carolyn McDaniel, and welcomed his only son with Dianna Barrell.
He had a love for music, art, nature, classic cars, riding his bike, his dogs, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He had an incredible talent of woodworking, and created many exquisite award winning pieces that he later displayed in his home. He was the epitome of a handyman, with endless knowledge about anything and everything that could be built or fixed.
Danny is survived by his wife Ping; daughters, Crista Schmidt and her husband Eric, Jenny Carter, Sarah Guevara and her husband Juan, son Ashton Carter and his wife Dani, grandson Jayce Pfister and his fiancée Kylie, granddaughter Lexi Carter, brother Pat Carter and his wife Rhonda, and nephew.
He was preceded in death by parents Hugh David Carter and Hilda Hitch, the mothers of his children Debbie Carter, Carolyn McDaniel and Diana Barrell, and brother Mike Carter.
The impact of his love and friendship to others will be forever felt by his family and friends that love him dearly. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will live on in the hearts of all he knew.
